Legal Secretary

As a Legal Secretary at State Farm, you will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. With a focus on litigation support, you will be responsible for calendaring and scheduling, processing mail and electronic filing, and providing administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our legal team.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with previous experience in civil defense litigation secretarial work, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury. Your expertise in legal terminology, local and state rules regarding pleadings and pre-trial matters, deadlines, and filing requirements will be essential in this role.
Key skills required include calendaring and scheduling experience within a legal environment, strong organizational skills, prioritizing urgent and non-urgent tasks, multitasking, e-filing experience, and accurate typing skills. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Case Management systems is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to adapt to a corporate law environment and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. As a hybrid role, you will work a combination of hours in the office and virtually, with occasional travel not required. Our offices are located in Riverside, CA (with an upcoming relocation to Ontario, CA in 2025).
In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $57,074.88 - $70,000.00 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay up to 9% of base salary.
