Hallmark Nursing Center is seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention in our facility.

About the Job

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. As an Infection Preventionist at Hallmark Nursing Center, you will be responsible for monitoring public health advisories from local, state, and federal agencies, including the CDC. You will also serve as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response activities, in accordance with current CDC recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies, including the CDC
  • Serve as the on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response activities, in accordance with current CDC recommendations
  • Work onsite at the physical facility
  • Hold responsibility for the development and accountability of the Antibiotic Stewardship Program
  • Maintain a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to perform work within the scope of your license, make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Infection Prevention and Control Program. You will also be required to maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc., and maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.

Requirements
  • Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing)
  • Licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment
  • Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training or education prior to assuming the role
