Salary: $25.50 - $32.50 per hour (approximate)

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Denver Health, you will play a vital role in assisting our professional nursing and care providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This dynamic position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and families.

Job Summary:

This is a PRN/Intermittent position, which means you will have flexibility in your schedule while working on an as-needed basis. You will assist with basic patient care, activities of daily living, and unit-specific documentation. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records will be essential in ensuring seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides a safe environment for all patients by ensuring proper patient positions and care throughout their stay.
  • Assists the RN/LPN in carrying out the established plan of care for assigned patients.
  • Practices sound safety and infection control practices according to hospital policy and procedures.
  • Obtains vital signs and differentiates normal from abnormal findings, reporting any concerns to the RN/LPN.
  • Participates as a member of the patient care team by asking for additional tasks or helping others when not busy.
  • Accurately gathers information and performs data entry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a certified nurse aide, you must have a current certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Additionally, you should have experience working with medical equipment and instruments, maintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
