Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Equipment Specialist to join our team at UPMC. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with an on-call rotation.

About the Role

This position involves performing repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on Diagnostic Imaging related medical devices used throughout UPMC, hospital affiliates, and institutions contracting for services with BioTronics Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain records of all work activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System and Kronos system.
  • Provide consultation to administration, nursing, and medical staff regarding operational, training, application, and technological advancements of medical instrumentation.
  • Routinely perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair on Low, Medium, High, and Specialty priority types of medical equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Computer/IT Information Technology, BMET Apprenticeship Certification, or Journeyman papers (if applicable).
  • Minimum 6 years of hospital or manufacturers' service experience required.
  • Manufacturers Certification of 2 priority types of Specialty equipment required.
Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
