Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees designated departments within the facility, ensuring all operations are performed effectively.
  • Maintains cleanliness, implements 5S practices, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates closely with the Production Scheduler to comprehend production needs and provide timely feedback on identified gaps.
  • Ensures teams adhere to established fabrication plans and contributes to enhancing work efficiency.
  • Plans and manages labor effectively to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
  • Implements schedules with a focus on safety, quality, timeliness, impact, and cost efficiency.
  • Responsible for mentoring and evaluating the performance of area leads and team members.
  • Actively involved in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of new employees in the department.
  • Provides direction, supervises effectively, and offers performance counseling and training as necessary.
  • Initiates disciplinary actions when required.
  • Works in conjunction with Human Resources to ensure compliance with company policies and communicates these policies to production teams.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to address and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Keeps thorough documentation on all projects within assigned areas.
  • Engages with employees regularly to solicit their input on problem-solving initiatives.
  • Actively participates in safety programs, monitoring and correcting unsafe behaviors.
  • Ensures adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and guidelines within the department.
  • Coaches and monitors employee performance concerning safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of operational effectiveness and management principles.
  • Familiarity with business and financial concepts.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized and analytical in approach.
  • Outstanding organizational capabilities.
