We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Graduate Princeton. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our Food and Beverage managers to ensure seamless operations and address any issues that may arise.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of all food products and presentation, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of food production, including hot and cold food preparation, to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Prepare and submit required reports, including food cost, labor, and revenue reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct staff performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our team members are meeting our high standards.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of menus, ensuring that they are aligned with our brand standards and meet the needs of our guests.
- Ensure compliance with all local health department regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs, ensuring that they are within our budgetary guidelines.
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service.
- At least 4 years of related progressive experience in a hotel or a related field, or a culinary graduate with at least 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, health department regulations, and liquor laws and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and to ensure compliance with all local health department regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and to adapt to changing circumstances.
