Job Summary

The Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team at Graduate Princeton, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in our kitchens. This role requires a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and sanitation
Train and develop culinary staff to ensure consistent quality and high standards
Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage to create and implement menus that meet the needs of our guests
Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure efficient operations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company standards and policies

Requirements

At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, and liquor laws
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and guests
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
