Job Title: Integrated Circuit Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Integrated Circuit Designer to join our team at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing and laying out lithographic masks for silicon-based, compound-semiconductor, and heterogeneous/hybrid fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and layout of lithographic masks for electronic and photonic integrated circuits
  • Creation of custom layout blocks and floor-planning
  • Design and layout of devices, test structures, systems, and full mask reticles
  • Collaboration with the layout team to update and maintain a device pcell library
Requirements:
  • More than 5 years of experience in design and layout of lithographic masks used for the fabrication of electronic and/or photonic integrated circuits
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent organization and intra- and interdisciplinary communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, materials science, physics, chemistry, or a related field
  • Experience with photonic integrated circuit layout a major plus
  • Experience with or knowledge of one or more of the following areas: using verification runsets, Advanced-Node version of Cadence, Cadence CurvyCore, programming in Perl, TCL, or Python, experience with RF layout design
