Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of scientists and researchers in the design, development, and optimization of ion chromatography and sample preparation systems and methodologies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our ion chromatography offerings.
- Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement by providing mentorship and guidance to your team.
- Through strategic decision-making and effective resource allocation, optimize R&D processes and drive efficiency.
- Shape the team's research priorities and strategic direction by staying abreast of industry trends and customer needs.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external research organizations, industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and academic institutions to stay at the forefront of research.
- MS degree in Chemistry or other relevant scientific fields is required; PhD is preferred with 12+ years experience and 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Understanding of the principles, techniques, and instrumentation of analytical chemistry is crucial in research and development (R&D) environments.
- Proficiency in leading and running sophisticated R&D projects from conception to commercialization, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Outstanding communication and presentation talents, capable of articulately translating complex scientific ideas and research developments to a diverse audience, including both specialists and laypersons.
- A competitive salary range estimated for this position based in California is $160,–$230,
