Job Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Development Chemist to lead the development and optimization of polymer chemistry processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of polymer chemistry, significant experience in process development, and a proven track record of driving process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and optimization of polymer chemistry processes to improve product quality, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
Supervise the scale-up of new processes from R&D to full-scale production, ensuring seamless technology transfer and process integration.
Serve as the go-to expert for solving sophisticated process issues, providing high-level support to manufacturing teams.
Develop and implement troubleshooting methodologies to address process deviations, equipment failures, and product non-conformities.
Lead and manage multiple process development projects, from initial feasibility through to implementation, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
Requirements:
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry with a strong focus on Polymer Chemistry.
5 years of proven experience in process development, particularly in polymer chemistry or related industries.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, process modeling, and statistical methods.
Excellent leadership and project management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating across departments and presenting to senior leadership.

Competitive salary range: $112,500.00-$168,750.00.
