Thermo Fisher Scientific's Ion Chromatography and Sample Preparation (ICSP) team presents an opportunity for a Senior Manager looking to make a significant impact in the field of analytical chemistry and scientific research.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our ion chromatography offerings.

Lead and manage a team of scientists and researchers in the design, development, sustaining, and optimization of IC and sample prep systems and methodologies.

Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By providing mentorship and guidance to your team, inspire and empower scientists and engineers to push the boundaries of scientific research.

Through strategic decision-making and effective resource allocation, optimize R&D processes and drive efficiency.

Requirements

MS degree in Chemistry or other relevant scientific fields is required; PhD is preferred with 12+ years of experience and 5+ years of leadership experience.

Understanding of the principles, techniques, and instrumentation of analytical chemistry is crucial in research and development (R&D) environments.

Proficiency in leading and running sophisticated R&D projects from conception to commercialization, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $160,–$230,
