Hardware Systems Integration Engineer

In the Apple Home group, we develop groundbreaking devices with complex hardware, sensors, and software. We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing and developing the hardware for these systems and should be comfortable with defining complex electrical system architectures and hands-on hardware bringup, debug, and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware systems for future Apple products.
  • Design and develop hardware systems for Apple devices.
  • Define complex electrical system architectures and perform hands-on hardware bringup, debug, and prototyping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in hardware design for embedded applications.
  • Strong working experience in electrical design, including component selection, circuit design, schematic capture, component placement, and PCB/flex layout.
  • Excellent EE fundamentals and analog design knowledge focusing on DC/DC, power, and signal integrity and SPICE simulations.
  • Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, storage, high-speed serial).
  • Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction.
  • Proven experience in taking designs from concept to mass production.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment including oscilloscope, multi-meters, and more for prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering required.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design.
