You will play a key role in designing and developing the hardware for these systems and should be comfortable with defining complex electrical system architectures and hands-on hardware bringup, debug, and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop hardware systems for Apple products
  • Define complex electrical system architectures
  • Bringup, debug, and prototype hardware systems
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware systems
  • Own electrical architecture and implementation
  • Create schematics and layouts
  • Validate hardware systems
  • Prototype proof of concepts
Requirements
  • Expertise in hardware design for embedded applications
  • Strong working experience in electrical design, including component selection, circuit design, schematic capture, component placement, and PCB/flex layout
  • Excellent EE fundamentals and analog design knowledge, focusing on DC/DC, power, and signal integrity, and SPICE simulations
  • Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, storage, high-speed serial)
  • Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction
  • Proven experience in taking designs from concept to mass production
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment, including oscilloscope, multi-meters, and more, for prototype bringup, debugging, and functional validation
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design
Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
