In the Apple Home group, we develop groundbreaking devices with complex hardware, sensors, and software.

We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware systems for future Apple products.

The position requires the ability for independent, precise detail design work as well as high-level system understanding. Also required are excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Ownership of electrical architecture and implementation, schematic creation and layout responsibility, bringup and debug, hardware validation, and prototyping proof of concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Expertise in hardware design for embedded applications, including component selection, circuit design, schematic capture, component placement, and PCB/flex layout.

Excellent EE fundamentals and analog design knowledge, focusing on DC/DC, power, and signal integrity, and SPICE simulations with intuitive skills and a deep understanding of the EE discipline in practice.

Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, storage, high-speed serial).

Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction.

Proven experience in taking designs from concept to mass production.

Hands-on experience with test equipment, including oscilloscope, multi-meters, and more, for prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional validation.

Requirements

BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering required. 3+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
