Job Summary

The Assistant Community Director is a key member of the FPI Management, Inc. team, responsible for assisting the Community Director in the day-to-day operations of the property. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in the daily overall operations of the apartment community to ensure FPI is meeting the Client objective and expectations.
  • Communication: Maintain positive, professional, and effective communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests while representing FPI.
  • Employee Management: Operate the property in the absence of the Community Director, responsible for training and onboarding of new leasing team members.
  • Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations, exhibit professional leasing techniques, and assist with the completion of the monthly Market Surveys and analysis.
  • Revenue Management: Assist the Community Director in maximizing revenue potential of the property through the management of lease expirations and timely turnover, and assist with the management of monthly rent collections and delinquency.
  • Reporting and Document Management: Maintain appropriate resident files, including forms, leases, and documents in accordance with FPI Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance of Risk Management items through the following of the FPI Standard Operating Procedures, and report timely any/all injuries, illnesses, property damage through the proper reporting channels and forms.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist residents with reporting of maintenance needs, document facility and maintenance needs, and ensure timely completion.
  • Other: Consistently and fairly enforce community rules and regulations, FPI Standard Operating Procedures, comply with all Fair Housing Laws and FPI policies and procedures, and promote a professional image by adhering to FPI Management's Dress Code Policy.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
