Job Summary:

The Resident Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing daily care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who can assist with various tasks, including personal care, mobility, and household duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transfers and ambulation.
  • Help with household duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
  • Assist with mealtime, including serving, feeding, and cleaning up.
  • Monitor residents' safety and well-being, reporting any concerns to the charge nurse or certified nursing assistants.
  • Participate in resident care planning and implementation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull residents and equipment as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions. The Resident Care Assistant must be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff, and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
