Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Manager to join our Special Assets Group at First Interstate Bancsystem Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of problem assets, focusing on restructuring, rehabilitation, and prompt collection. This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of problem assets, including developing workout strategies and goals for assigned credits.
  • Prepare comprehensive quarterly Problem Loan Reports and negotiate with borrowers regarding restructuring, collection, and enforcement activities.
  • Work with inside and outside legal counsel and third parties to resolve problems and maintain compliance with state and federal banking laws and regulations.
  • Assign risk ratings, potential loss exposure, and accrual status on managed portfolio and effectively communicate with assigned clients and document the credit file.
  • Approve credit requests and charge-offs within the assigned lending limit and maintain a strong understanding of financial, credit, and collateral analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • More than 10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous special asset experience preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, strong technical writing, and advanced financial, credit, and collateral analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on problem-solving and analytical skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive total compensation package, including base salary and benefits. The pay range for this position is $124,430 to $205,309 per year in CO, depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at.069 per hours worked), and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
