Job Summary

Omni Hotels is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Environmental Ambassador. As a key member of our Nature Center team, you will be responsible for promoting our unique natural environment to resort guests, club members, and the surrounding community.

Responsibilities

Lead nature tours, day excursions, kayaking tours, paddle-boarding tours, corporate tours, and other off-property events.

Develop, plan, implement, and lead interpretive, educational programs and displays.

Assist and perform in the care and cleaning of exhibits, including snakes, turtles, salt and freshwater aquariums, birds, and small mammals.

Perform animal rescues, rehabilitate, and release rescues, including feeding, cleaning, etc.

Maintain the facilities, including retail, office area, and exhibits.

Handle cash, conduct inventory, stock products, and assist with retail displays.

Be responsible for opening and closing duties of the Nature Center.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in a related field, such as Biology, Animal Science, or Environmental Studies.

Ability to lift and lift up to 60-100 pounds occasionally and 30-50 pounds repeatedly.

Ability to swim, stoop, stand, push, pull, and walk or stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to hear, smell, have good or corrected vision, and a good sense of balance.

Associate must be able to walk throughout the property, communicate verbally to our guests, and be able to multitask effectively.

Interest in outdoor activities.

Exposure to elements, including heat and rain.
