Job Summary

The Taproom is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner/Expo to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless service to our guests by expediting food and drinks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe workplace, including the dining room and expo station
  • Ensure proper setup and shift maintenance, as well as breakdown of the expo station
  • Assist guests and team members throughout the shift, including running food and drinks
  • Responsible for calling all tickets, expediting food, reading and matching food to tickets, and garnishing appropriately
  • Follow steps of service and practice effective coursing of tickets and maintaining tables as needed
  • Be knowledgeable about our menus, including food, drinks, and daily specials
  • Assist fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional hospitality and guest service, displaying an outgoing personality and always being polite
  • Help promote our restaurant and its values
  • Act with integrity and honesty, and alert management of any issues that may arise with a guest
Requirements
  • Ability to work holidays, even if regularly scheduled days do not fall on the holiday
  • Physical requirements: ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) and remain on your feet for up to 10 hours at a time
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while remaining calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in a full-service restaurant is desirable
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships with people
