Food Runner / Expeditor Job Description

At the Goldener Hirsch Inn and Residences, we are seeking a skilled Food Runner / Expeditor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of orders from the kitchen to our guests' tables.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless order delivery.
  • Ensure all orders are prepared accurately, on time, and with the correct priority.
  • Perform finishing touches on completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
  • Assist servers, bartenders, and guests with their dining experience, taking orders and delivering requested items in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guests' needs and ensuring their satisfaction with their beverage and dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized expediting area and restaurant outlets.
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards.
  • Check in with guests upon delivery of dishes and ensure they have everything they need.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in customer service or a similar role in a luxury setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
