Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary within the range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The position provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified therapist and educator to lead our MFT program. The successful candidate will bring their strengths to our welcoming community, contributing to the mission of the university and the Marriage and Family Therapy master program. This position provides oversight, leadership, and direction for the MFT master's program, teaching courses, and supervising practicum and internships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum for the MFT program
- Supervise practicum and internship students
- Teach graduate marriage and family therapy (MFT) courses and other courses in the graduate program as needed
- Assist with marketing of services, programs, and events
- Attend state/national meetings related to the MFT program as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Doctoral/Terminal degree
- Licensed or license-eligible in Washington state as a Marriage and Family Therapist
- A personal commitment to the Christian faith and to the integration of faith and learning
- Demonstrated growth in cultural competence, awareness of societal and structural inequities, and proven experience in effectively establishing relationships and positive communications with students and other constituents across multiple dimensions of diversity
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral/Terminal degree in marriage and family therapy from a COAMFTE program
- Clinical Fellow status with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and Approved Supervisor status with AAMFT
- Five or more years of counseling experience
- Clinical teaching experience at the graduate level
