Military Testing Coordinator

The main objective of this role is to serve as the primary Test Control Officer (TCO) responsible for managing the military personnel assessment program.
Eligibility
- Open to the general public
U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or individuals with allegiance to the U.S.
RESPONSIBILITY 1: Manages the military personnel assessment program for various military evaluations.
RESPONSIBILITY 2: Supervises the Foreign Language Proficiency Pay (FLPP) initiative.
RESPONSIBILITY 3: Safeguards and oversees testing materials. Monitors inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary testing resources.
RESPONSIBILITY 4: Collects and assesses testing needs in support of the Weighted Airman Promotion System (WAPS).
RESPONSIBILITY 5: Utilizes diverse office automation tools to generate a variety of documents and formats.
Employment Conditions
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
- New employees must complete a trial period.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Travel may be required for temporary assignments.
This position is classified as GG-07 within the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The responsibilities at this level are equivalent to those at the GS/GG grade.
To qualify, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience as outlined in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must provide evidence of experience that showcases the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for effective job performance. Relevant experience includes familiarity with military policies and procedures related to the assessment program, as well as understanding the coding system and verification data pertinent to eligibility criteria.
OR
EDUCATION: Candidates may qualify with one full academic year of graduate-level education in a relevant field or a bachelor's degree in education or a related subject area, claiming Superior Academic Achievement.
OR
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidates with partial specialized experience may combine it with relevant graduate-level education to meet qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Candidates will be evaluated based on their proficiency in the following areas:
- Understanding of military policies and procedures related to the assessment program and knowledge of the coding system and verification data for eligibility.
- Familiarity with military personnel instructions, principles, processes, and policies regarding the management of testing materials.
- Proficiency in various office automation software programs to support operations and produce diverse documents such as reports and spreadsheets.
- Typing skills; a qualified typist is required.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical skills to evaluate automated products for adequacy and deficiencies in the assessment program.
Credit will be given for relevant unpaid or part-time experience. Volunteer work may also be considered as it helps build critical competencies and skills applicable to paid employment.
