Cybersecurity Test Engineer Opportunity

Cole Engineering Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Test Engineer to join our team in testing new software baselines for PCTE.

This position is located on site in the Fort Meade, MD area and is 100% full time on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and creation of cyber range training test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.
  • Perform unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.
  • Develop test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
  • Work closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software implementation.
  • Collaborate with a team of Engineers from a diverse background of expertise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)
  • Experience testing of web-based applications in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Cyber Operations Training
  • DevOps experience.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence.
  • Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Experience with virtualization.
  • Familiar with Linux.

Security Clearance:

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
