About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Support Counselor to join our team at The Home for Little Wanderers. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and supervision to students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and strategies to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate with teaching faculty to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Assist students with transitions between activities and provide support with daily living skills.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment, ensuring the well-being of all students.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a residential setting with a similar population of children.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.
