Family Support Specialist Role

Mentor South Bay is a leading provider of mental health and behavioral services, dedicated to helping individuals and families reach their full potential. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing community-based therapeutic services to youth and families in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in care planning teams to identify and address the needs of youth and families.
  • Teach youth and families skills to manage emotions, develop problem-solving strategies, and enhance communication.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to implement treatment plans and monitor progress.
  • Provide transportation for individuals and families as needed.
  • Document visits and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience working with youth and families, or an associate's or bachelor's degree in a human service field with 1 year of experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Ability to work afternoons and early evenings.
