Job Summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a critical care setting. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer respiratory care procedures and protocols, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct blood gas analysis and interpret results to inform patient care decisions.
  • Maintain and manage all equipment and supplies necessary for respiratory care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences or related field.
  • Previous working experience in respiratory care or successful completion of department-specific orientation.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active participation in professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices in respiratory care.
