Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Appointment Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our scheduling department, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing schedules, and ensuring seamless communication with our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-register new patients and collect vital demographic information
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, considering location, time, physician availability, and patient needs
  • Manage physicians' schedules, ensuring accurate tracking of vacations, on-call shifts, and clinic time
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to address schedule changes and conflicts
  • Provide exceptional patient support, handling on-call days, triage calls, and coordinating work-in appointments
  • Communicate with satellite clinics to facilitate same-day appointments
  • Maintain professional etiquette, promptly returning internal and external calls
  • Uphold Peachtree Orthopedics' policies, adhere to legal requirements, and engage in ethical patient care and business practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least two years of customer service experience
  • Prior experience in customer care or call center roles within a medical office is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or a background in healthcare is a plus
