This venue attracts over 700,000 visitors each year during the US Open, creating an electrifying atmosphere. The facility is designed to provide a high-quality, state-of-the-art experience for families, seniors, young adults, and international guests. The front desk serves as the initial point of contact for the general public at the National Tennis Center. It is essential for our attendants to be approachable, reliable, collaborative, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assign courts to players for available times, donated courts, private lessons, and group lessons using a computerized reservation system.
  • Assist in responding to general phone inquiries regarding reservations, pricing, and program details.
  • Accurately manage monetary transactions during shifts and oversee the daily court sheet reconciliation.
  • Operate lighting systems for both indoor and outdoor courts.
  • Monitor court usage to ensure players adhere to time limits.
  • Record contact information for players utilizing open time and document names of no-show players for future reference.
  • Act as an information hub for NTC patrons, providing essential updates and changes regarding NTC procedures.
  • Collect and document payments for teaching programs and reserved court times.
  • Relay messages to staff as needed.
  • Schedule private lessons and provide information about NTC Tennis Programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including US Open responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and communication skills.
  • Possess proficiency in computer operations.
  • Availability during weekends and evenings is required.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Maintain composure and focus in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
  • This position is onsite and specific to the NTC.

Compensation: Pay range in the United States: $16 per hour
