Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Atlas Technical Consultants. As an Industrial Hygiene Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting complex building science and industrial hygiene safety assessments, supporting senior-level IH Industrial Hygienist and Practice Team Manager levels, and performing field assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct building science and industrial hygiene safety assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
  • Support senior-level IH Industrial Hygienist and Practice Team Manager levels in conducting complex assessments and developing strategies to control and minimize workplace hazards
  • Perform field assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, including air sampling, noise level monitoring, and other environmental testing activities
  • Collaborate with IH Industrial Hygienist and Practice Team Manager levels above this position to advise on less complex workplace incidents or complaints related to health hazards
  • Develop and implement strategies to control and minimize workplace hazards, including IH standards, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment requirements
Requirements
  • 7+ years of technically sound consulting experience conducting and managing Industrial Hygiene and Building Science projects
  • Asbestos/Mold Surveys, Exposure Monitoring Experience, Noise Monitoring Experience
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel locally up to 50%
  • Reliable transportation
  • Proficient in project management and personnel management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or certificate in project planning, management, environmental sciences, engineering, construction, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational health or a related science field
  • Field work experience may be substituted in lieu of science education requirements
  • 40 hr HAZWOPER preferred
  • A professional certification in at least one of the following: asbestos, lead, mold
