Operations Specialist

At Kinder Morgan, we are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of activities, including assisting the operations construction team in all facets of tie-in preparation for crude lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Pre Start-up Safety Reviews, pipeline drain downs, line fills, and other pipeline maintenance activities.
- Liaise between in-house and third parties to ensure every job is completed with a safety-first mentality.
- Oversee the maintenance and repairs of pipeline and pipeline equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company manuals and policies.
- Take responsibility for small maintenance and expansion projects.
Requirements:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Above average abilities with a computer.
- Customer orientation.
- Ability to effectively present information in a one–on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors.
Physical Demands:
- Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment/tools.
- Climbs and works at various heights.
Working Conditions:
- Works mostly outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment.
- May be subject to work in hazardous conditions including hydrocarbon vapor, near nitrogen, limited light, adverse weather conditions, and extreme temperatures.
