The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for pulling, preparing, and shipping parts and assemblies according to production schedules. This role also involves maintaining detailed documentation of product receipts and shipments.
Key Responsibilities:- Pull and prepare orders for shipment
- Stage items in advance for timely delivery
- Maintain inventory of packing materials and requisition as needed
- Notify Quality Assurance for shipping audits
- Maintain and comply with customer shipping requirements
- Update inventory records
- Maintain records of items received and shipped
- Load and unload trucks
- Utilize six-sigma quality tools to improve processes and outcomes
- Support and maintain processes, procedures, and KPIs owned by this position
- Review and comply with all procedures related to this job
- Complete all required training within the stated timeframe
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Attend work regularly and punctually
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving
- This role requires exposure to manufacturing areas, where personal protective equipment is mandatory
- Ambient temperatures and typical plant lighting are present throughout the facility
- Sit or stand as needed
- Walk on a level surface for periodic periods
- Reach above shoulder height, below the waist, or lift as required
- Proper lifting techniques are required
- Ability to work in small confined spaces while following safety protocol
- Ability to accomplish physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
