Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Services Coordinator to join our team at Olmsted Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, registering patients, and verifying demographics. You will also be responsible for monitoring monthly updates of MN Healthcare Programs, identifying primary care providers, and answering patient questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors and patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Registers patients and verifies demographics
  • Monitors monthly updates of MN Healthcare Programs
  • Identifies primary care providers
  • Answers patient questions and provides directional needs
  • Schedules and verifies patient appointments
  • Collects patient payments and co-pays
  • Works closely with clinicians and nursing staff
  • Attends education and training seminars
  • Orders and stocks department supplies
  • Performs internal and external patient referrals

Requirements:

  • Prior computer experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • General knowledge of Accounts Receivable preferred
  • BLS certification
