Staffing Coordinator Role at Mayo Clinic
Mayo Clinic is a leading healthcare provider that values patient care and employee well-being. As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care units by allocating available resources within the Department of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive staffing requests and allocate available resources on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Collaborate with charge RNs to meet staffing needs and analyze staffing patterns and trends.
- Assist with contacting staff at home to grant excused absences, communicate placement, and/or determine their availability to work.
- Orient nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and RN staff to staffing practices and procedural guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Prefer prior experience with inpatient care unit in a patient care or support role.
- Proficient computer skills necessary.
Work Schedule:
- Full Time
- 12 hour rotating shifts Monday - Sunday; two holidays/year
- 12 hour rotating shifts every third weekend
