Responsibilities

  • Concept Development: Develop innovative ideas for live programming content, including segment ideas and pitches to executive producers.
  • Content Creation: Produce segments from reporting, development, script writing, and taking the segment to air.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with bookers, talent, reporters, graphic designers, studio team, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless production.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality content meets Mediabistro's standards.
  • Platform Knowledge: Understand how to create content for various platforms and audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of producing experience in a major financial news organization, preferably with a strong streaming and/or digital media outlet.
  • Skills: Solid storytelling, impeccable editorial judgment, strong use of imagery, graphics, and animations in video storytelling, and excellent time management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and experience with shooting and editing.
  • Location: Must be able to work in NYC.

Additional Information

  • Position Type: Temporary contract.
  • Pay Rate: $500/day.
