Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment plant and pump stations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment processes, including pumps, motors, and electrical controls
  • Perform laboratory testing duties, including sampling and analysis of wastewater and sludge
  • Conduct routine maintenance on plant equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and replacement of parts
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance programs to ensure optimal plant performance
  • Collaborate with other plant staff to achieve operational goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; wastewater treatment experience preferred
  • Valid Idaho Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement
  • Valid Idaho Wastewater Treatment Operator License or ability to obtain within 18 months
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
