Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Conductor to join our team at Watco Transloading in Lewiston, ID. As a Conductor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains and railcars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in the yard or at industrial plants.
  • Inspect locomotives before and after runs to ensure compliance with FRA requirements.
  • Read and interpret switching orders, wayside signals, and railroad rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with crew members and train dispatchers via radio to coordinate switching operations.
  • Assist workers in throwing switches and performing other activities involved in switching operations.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass training and required testing.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
