We are seeking a skilled Conductor to join our team at Watco Transloading in Lewiston, ID. As a Conductor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains and railcars.
Key Responsibilities- Control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars in the yard or at industrial plants.
- Inspect locomotives before and after runs to ensure compliance with FRA requirements.
- Read and interpret switching orders, wayside signals, and railroad rules and regulations.
- Communicate with crew members and train dispatchers via radio to coordinate switching operations.
- Assist workers in throwing switches and performing other activities involved in switching operations.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to pass training and required testing.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
