The specialist will be tasked with assessing the company's liability and overseeing first-party aviation hull and bodily injury claims from initiation to resolution.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, reflecting our core values of ownership, collaboration, and teamwork. Employees will work in the office with colleagues from Monday to Wednesday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Thursdays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage moderate to high exposure claims related to Aviation Aircraft & General Liability, adhering to Claim Best Practices Guidelines.
  • Conduct on-site investigations for accidents as necessary.
  • Analyze and verify applicable coverage for reported losses.
  • Establish and maintain 24-hour contact with all stakeholders throughout the claim process.
  • Gather information through interviews, statements, and research to investigate each claim thoroughly.
  • Identify potential red flags and suspicious claims, referring them to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
  • Set accurate and timely loss/expense reserves in compliance with Claim Best Practices Guidelines.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and authorize settlements with all involved parties within designated authority limits.
  • Direct and manage vendors and legal counsel, including budget approvals for defense.
  • Negotiate directly with claimants and their attorneys upon receipt of critical information.
  • Draft necessary correspondence, including coverage disclaimers and liability denials.
  • Maintain required resident/nonresident adjuster licenses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • High School diploma.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling aircraft and aviation liability claims.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation insurance policies.
  • Possession of an adjuster's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience managing both first and third-party claims.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring VISA sponsorship.
Preferred:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • A&P license, Repairman Certification, or Pilot license.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is $58,810 – $92,920, reflecting the anticipated low and high end of the base salary. Total compensation includes base salary, performance-based bonuses, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more. Actual salaries will vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location.
