Job Description

At PLUS Communications, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with financial reporting. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. If you are a recent college graduate with a degree in Accounting or Finance, particularly those graduating in December 2024 with relevant internships, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable and/or accounts payable transactions, including daily and monthly client/vendor invoicing.
  • Maintain strong communications and trusted relationships with client leads within the company.
  • Perform account reconciliations and identify any discrepancies or risk early.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to ensure aging is current, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least one year of experience in a full-time accounting role.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting concepts and journal entries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional time management, precise attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience successfully working under pressure to manage tight deadlines while juggling multiple requests and changing priorities.
  • Possess superior oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a variety of people at all levels of the company.
