Position Overview:

The TCC Program Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Cultural Centers' initiatives and events. This position involves assisting with the execution of key events, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering an inclusive environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning and execution of signature events, including setup, takedown, and providing support throughout the event.
  2. Coordinate logistics for various events, including room reservations, seating arrangements, and technical support.
  3. Collaborate with the TCC team to promote events through various channels, including newsletters and social media.
  4. Act as a liaison for the TCC, disseminating information about programs and opportunities to students, faculty, and the community.
  5. Work alongside the Marketing Assistant to create engaging and accurate content for social media platforms.
  6. Support TCC spaces by fostering community engagement and assisting with general maintenance.
  7. Perform additional tasks to aid in the daily operations of the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student at DU, residing in the Denver area.
  • Confirmed work-study eligibility applicable to this position.

Preferred:

  • Experience in creating visual content and managing social media posts.
  • Background in supporting diverse communities, particularly Gender & Sexually diverse and BIPOC groups.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally move around the office or campus, including lifting objects up to 20 lbs.

This position is eligible for federal work-study funding, and students will receive compensation based on the Student Support II Classification Rate.
