Lynnwood, Washington, United States CareerPaths NW Full time
Job Overview

CareerPaths NW is on the lookout for a proficient Lead Inspector to enhance our team. Our client, a thriving family-owned enterprise, is experiencing remarkable growth and requires an expert in fire protection systems to support their expansion.

In the role of Lead Inspector, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate fire alarm systems and associated installations across a variety of buildings, including multifamily housing, commercial spaces, assisted living facilities, and high-rise constructions. You will also have the opportunity to mentor an apprentice, contributing to the development of future specialists in this vital industry.

This position allows for flexibility, as you will manage multiple inspections daily for smaller accounts or oversee extensive, multi-day evaluations. You will occasionally work alongside other trades involved in related systems. The company guarantees 80 hours of work per pay period, with competitive compensation that can increase with availability for service calls.

Our client is celebrated for its supportive, family-oriented culture, prioritizing work/life balance, team events, and avenues for personal and professional advancement. Comprehensive benefits include medical and vision coverage, paid time off during holidays, a 401(k) plan with a 4% match, profit sharing, and support for ongoing training and certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of fire alarm systems and related equipment in various building types.
  • Guide and mentor an apprentice, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Handle multiple inspections each day for smaller clients or manage larger, more complex evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other trades on projects that involve related systems.
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee thorough inspections.
  • Exhibit organization, punctuality, and professionalism on all job sites.
  • Respond to service calls as necessary, with opportunities for additional compensation.

Qualifications

  • NICET II certification and O6 Electrical license are mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in inspecting fire protection systems is required.
  • A positive, family-friendly demeanor that aligns with a collaborative work culture.
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
  • Highly organized, punctual, and capable of leading by example.

If you are a certified professional passionate about fire protection systems and seeking a nurturing, family-centric work environment, this position offers a unique opportunity to grow within a company that values expertise, teamwork, and a healthy work/life balance.
