Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Alaska. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding metal components together using various techniques, including brazing and arc welding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain welding supply inventory and document work performed on machinery
  • Weld metal parts together using gas welding or brazing and various arc welding processes
  • Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
  • Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase the size of metal parts
  • Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and understanding of Nabors Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policy
  • Knowledge of possible health, safety, and environmental impact of state and federal regulatory compliance requirements associated with oil and gas drilling operations
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management System (EMS) operation, key personnel, and their functions, and responsibilities
  • Correct use of required activity permits and MSDS sheets
  • Implementing Nabors safety and Hazard recognition programs each shift
  • Ability to read and comprehend instruction, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics
