Job Summary:The Customer Service Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to service, billing, and account changes. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Enter customer applications and changes into ENSTAR's Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) software system.
- Initiate work orders for the Meter Reading, Service, Distribution, and Measurement departments via computer software system.
- Research and resolve account and billing discrepancies.
- Cross-train with other department tasks to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of prior customer service experience, with call center experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong math, accounting, and clerical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type 50+ wpm 10-key by touch.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Enthusiastic and energetic customer service attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to assist customers effectively and professionally in a demanding environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to communicate policies and procedures to others.
- Ability to use general office equipment such as computer, fax, phone, copier, etc.
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, follow-up, value-added service, one-call resolution, and customer appreciation.
