Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at Dental Architects in Argyle, Texas.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient care by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed by the dentist.
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Perform various laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and processing dental impressions.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Manage inventory and order dental supplies and materials as needed.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and handle administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
  • Current certification in dental radiography and infection control preferred.
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant or relevant clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • Familiarity with dental software and digital radiography systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
