Job Title: Patrol Officer

Join the Town of Northlake Police Department as a Patrol Officer and play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our community.

Job Summary:

The Patrol Officer is responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances, preventing crime, and providing excellent customer service to the public. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and ordinances.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed.
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support investigations.
  • Testify in court as required.
  • Develop and implement community-based policing strategies and programs.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve common goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, including responding to complaints and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or be able to complete a TCOLE recognized police academy.
  • Must be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be willing to respond to emergency calls outside of regular working hours.
