Work Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Monday-Friday 10am-7pm

Patient Community: Orthopedic Rehabilitation Patients

Your Role:

As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient environment, you will deliver both direct and indirect services to designated age groups in rehabilitation settings. You will apply process improvement methodologies to meet the objectives of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Embrace the responsibility to practice both independently and collaboratively across various environments to ensure optimal patient care. Independent practice is characterized by self-directed, professional judgment and action.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Promotes evidence-based care standards and lifelong learning through active participation in research, journal clubs, mentoring, and clinical education within a peer group
  • Engages in outreach to physicians to establish referral relationships, with a goal of at least two contacts per month. Supports community marketing and awareness through participation in events and educational lectures as approved by management
  • Establishes Physical Therapy Diagnosis and develops a plan of care, recommending referrals for treatments outside the Physical Therapist's scope when necessary.
  • Qualified to perform Direct Access Physical Therapy in outpatient settings, as per state regulations.
  • Designs and implements treatment plans in accordance with practice standards, insurance guidelines, and patient needs, while monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary.

Qualifications for Success:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida, or possess a Temporary State of Florida permit
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or clinical rotations in an outpatient setting
