The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, assessing project requirements, and collaborating with project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project documents and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements
  • Prepare bid proposals and manage the bidding process
  • Evaluate and recommend cost-saving options for projects
  • Review and assess subcontractor bids
  • Track project budgets and provide regular updates to management
  • Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and company policies
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Project Estimator in construction or steel manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and cost structures
  • Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with steel manufacturing processes
  • Experience in the construction industry
