Job Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high-quality food and beverage presentation. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and develop team members to provide excellent service and maintain high-quality food preparation.
  • Manage cash handling and inventory control, ensuring accurate records and minimizing losses.
  • Supervise kitchen and dining area cleaning activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Control inventory levels, ordering supplies and equipment as needed to ensure efficient service.
  • Forecast staff and supply requirements based on business demand, ensuring adequate resources to meet guest needs.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clear expectations and goals.
  • Analyze operational problems and establish procedures to alleviate these issues.
  • Perform personnel actions, such as hiring and training staff, and conducting supervisory activities.
  • Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety.
  • Record production, operational, and personnel data on specified forms.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Supervisor.
  • Good understanding of the English language and previous guest/customer relations training.
  • Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service preferred.
  • TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certification required.
