Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Scheduler to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed production schedules, establishing sequence and lead time of relevant operations, and creating and releasing manufacturing work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules
  • Establish sequence and lead time of relevant operations in the schedule
  • Create and release manufacturing work orders
  • React daily to MRP in order to manage production and meet on time delivery
  • Initiate picking process for timely delivery of materials to the production line
  • Monitor inventory and work with Procurement, Materials Management and Operations to optimize material availability and resolve any issues that may affect the schedule
  • Track job progress and ensure correct flow of information
  • Make any necessary adjustments or corrections to the schedule
  • Identify problems and assist with improvement actions
  • Participate in and/or run daily/weekly meetings

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and minimum 3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with SAP and other applicable software
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of engagement
  • Adept problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and work teams
  • Experience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment
  • Manufacturing experience with electrical distribution equipment or similar engineered to order product preferred
