Minimum Qualifications

Educational Background and Experience:
  • At least two years of experience in culinary roles, proficient in preparing a comprehensive range of menu offerings.
  • Ability to read, write, and adhere to both written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience in preparing therapeutic or modified diets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Commitment to working with senior individuals in a residential setting.
  • Proficient in preparing therapeutic or modified diets.
  • Ability to deliver food service that meets or surpasses hospitality and service expectations.
  • Willingness to work during holidays and for scheduled special events.
Position Summary

Responsible for culinary preparations that align with or exceed the hospitality and service standards of the community, implementing the "Living in Style" initiative. Ensure all food items are prepared to meet quantity and timing requirements. Capable of managing all culinary operations in the absence of the Chef/Kitchen Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food items following standardized recipes.
  2. Assess food and supply needs and coordinate meal production with serving schedules.
  3. Prepare all special dietary requirements as specified by the Resident Menus.
  4. Monitor food items to ensure adherence to minimum standards for temperature, taste, and quality.
  5. Maintain or exceed standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health regulations.
  6. Assist in the orientation and training of new kitchen staff.
  7. Adhere to all safety and loss prevention protocols.
  8. Participate in all required training sessions.
  9. Responsible for compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations.
  10. Assist in the accurate documentation of temperature logs, taste panel evaluations, and cleaning schedules.
  11. Integrate Pinnacle Standards into daily performance.
  12. Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
