About the Role
The Gilder Search Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technologist to lead our microelectronics group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the future of microelectronics as an advanced technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal microelectronics Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader for our client, representing them as the microelectronics SME.
- Advising the General Manager and Business Area lead on technology trends, strategy, investments, and talent.
- Collaborating with the Chief Engineer and Advanced Concepts Engineering (ACE) organization to deliver R&D projects and programs in cross-functional teams.
- Directing the workforce development strategy for microelectronics in partnership with the Chief Engineer.
- Coordinating the entire company on all microelectronics technology issues and opportunities.
- Attending tradeshows and conferences to present our client's microelectronics capabilities and innovations.
- Shaping the microelectronics brand recognition within the community as a recognized leader.
- Building relationships and interfacing with customers, identifying and shaping new business opportunities in partnership with business development.
- Actively building new customer relationships and industry/academic partnerships.
- Serving as a senior technical expert to represent our client with customers, industry partners, and academia.
- Creating compelling executive and board-level material to inform and recommend for decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, marketing, economics, engineering, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 15 years of prior related experience or a graduate degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to generate innovative insights from analysis, communicate results effectively, and work with business partners in developing and implementing new methodologies and analysis to drive actionable results.
- Ability to think abstractly and analytically, providing in-depth analysis and recommendations to internal customers, teammates, and external constituencies.
- Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously.
- Strong executive presence, as well as the ability to effectively influence and make recommendations at all levels of the organization.
- High level of business/financial acumen, global business acumen in defense.
- High level of integrity, open and productive collaboration, and teamwork across multiple functions throughout the enterprise.
